In de kleine zaal maakt Fat Bastard uit Antwerpen zijn opwachting. Met hun old school rock-'n-roll geven ze een optreden van jewelste.
Invloeden van de grootheden uit de metal, zoals AC/DC, Metallica en Iron Maiden, klinken op een vernieuwende manier door in de muziek. De
vonken spatten ervan af en soms vragen we ons af waarom nog niet meer mensen deze band kennen. Het niveau van dit optreden is zeer hoog en
is best een plaats op het hoofdpodium waard. Volgens sommige toeschouwers speelden zij het beste optreden van het festival. Een mening die
zeer verdedigbaar is.
For those not so fluent in Dutchlandish, here's a translatory thingy:
In the small concert venue Fat Bastard from Antwerp got on stage. With their old school rock-'n-roll they play a massive gig. Influences from metal
moguls, like AD/DC, Metallica and Iron Maiden, sound in a renewing way in their music. They light up the room with energetic sparks and we wonder why
not so many people know this band. The level of this concert is very high and is worth a spot on the main stage of the festival. According to some
they played the best gig of the fest. An opinion that is easy to defend.

We've been very productive lately, working hard on new stuff at Fatty's... We got an athem 'Bastard', we got 'Kick Off', ... And we got the balls of
steel to accompany these Rawkin' tunes... One more to perfect, then it's studio time!!

Fat Bastard will be rocking out on 12 September 2010 at the Back2OldSchool event in Antwerp (click below image for all info)!! It's a sunday at 17.45h,
so no fucking excuses, we want the complete Fat Bastard Army to Rawk out with us!!
And while we're at it, we're also playing a gig on the 23 of October 2010 at JH de Moeve (Lier)... More info soon!!
Yesterday morning 16.05.2010 at 7.45h the Gods of Metal promoted Ronnie James Dio to immortality...
Dio lost his fight to cancer, but gained a seat in the big Hall of Fame in the sky. Dio is and was a very big influence on the music of our choise.
Please join Fat Bastard in showing tribute to the Vocalist Master. Dio, for you we stick our fists in the air, holding up the famous two fingers!
Seems that 2010 is not the year of the dragon, but the year of Fat Bastard... My ears still ringing from the last gig, and we can tell ya there another
one comming!

What's up with the FB-clan? Well, we're writing some smashing new songs for the upcoming gigs in 2010... I've got a good
feeling about next year, I'm quit sure we will come out and play a lot more than before!
